A Polished Freeform Baltic Amber and Silver Pendant Specimen
Description
This item appears to be a large, polished freeform Baltic amber specimen integrated with a silver mounting. The amber exhibits a distinctive colour gradient, transitioning from a transparent honey-yellow hue at the top to a deep reddish-brown cognac tone at the base. The piece contains a prominent, dark, textured internal inclusion, likely of organic origin. Several internal tension fractures, commonly referred to as sun spangles, are visible and provide reflective brilliance within the stone. A silver-toned metal component is attached at the top of the specimen, serving as a bail or mount. The item is displayed on a clear faceted acrylic stand and has a white string tag attached. No signatures, maker marks, or hallmarks are legible on the specimen or its silver mounting.
