A Group of Ceramic Tableware and Decorative Pitchers
Description
A collection of ceramic and porcelain tableware and decorative objects. The group includes four white porcelain mugs with gilded rims, one of which features a landscape illustration. Also included is a relief-decorated beer stein depicting a tavern scene with figures. The collection comprises several jugs in various sizes and glazes: a large cream-coloured textured pitcher with horizontal ribbing, a bulbous green glazed jug with a pinched spout, a small black jug, and a miniature brown pitcher. A white porcelain tea strainer is present, resting on a cup. One teacup is decorated with a polychrome floral transfer-printed design in pink, green, and yellow; this cup bears a white adhesive label reading SHELBY’S AUCTIONEERS LOT 379 01132502626. A small lidded jar with green concentric circles on the lid bears a small white adhesive sticker reading 12709 D. A small white sticker is visible on the green jug, but the characters are not legible. No other maker names or country of origin marks are visible on the objects.
