A Collection of Silver-Plated Tableware and Metalware
Description
A collection of silver-plated and decorative metalware comprising several table items. The group includes a three-light candelabrum featuring curved, scrolling branches and gadrooned borders to the drip pans and base. Also present are two matching single candlesticks with gadrooned decoration. The set features two fluted lidded vessels: a taller tankard-form item with a white decorative finial and a smaller lidded bowl with a dark lobed finial. Also included is a small metal bowl with a gilt interior, all presented on a circular silver-plated tray with a pierced gallery rim and chased floral decoration to the centre. The lot is accompanied by two presentation cases: one in dark blue and a larger black leatherette or wooden case with a brass-coloured clasp. A white rectangular adhesive label is attached to the smaller lidded fluted vessel, bearing the printed text SHELLEYS AUCTIONEERS above the lot number 345. No maker’s marks are legible on the items from the photograph.
