Description
A collection of vintage cast brass horse brasses featuring a variety of traditional motifs. The group includes designs such as a standing horse, a sun in splendour with a central human face, a six-pointed starburst, a pointer dog, a fox head within a serrated border, a bird, and a windmill. The brasses display the pierced and embossed decoration characteristic of late 19th and 20th-century equestrian harness furniture. A white adhesive auction label is attached to the front of the grey plastic tray, printed with the text SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS, LOT, 302, and 01132502626. A smaller adjacent label bears the handwritten characters £50.
