A Group of Framed Artworks Including a Monochrome Print of Whitby
Description
A group of framed artworks in various sizes and media, primarily depicting landscape and maritime themes. The most prominent item is a horizontal monochrome print titled WHITBY, housed in a wide wood frame with a polished mahogany finish, a gilt inner slip, and a cream-coloured mount. This print features the word WHITBY printed in a serif font, centered above the image. There are additional lines of small printed text located at the top corners and below the image area, however, these characters are not legible.
Positioned behind the print is a horizontal landscape painting in a gilt-finished frame. The collection also includes a vertical needlepoint depicting a stylised cottage and tree worked in green, red, and brown threads. Several other frames are present within the group, finished in various gilt and wood effects. The construction of the frames appears to be a mix of solid wood and composite materials with decorative finishes.
