Description
A Scottish ram’s horn snuff mull of traditional form, featuring a naturally curved horn with a dark, polished finish. The wide end of the horn is fitted with a white metal mount and a hinged lid, which is inset with a large, faceted yellow gemstone. The tip of the horn is capped with a white metal terminal mount. The interior of the wide end is hollowed to create a compartment for snuff. A handwritten white adhesive label is affixed to the lid, reading 12850 over P. A printed adhesive auction tag is attached to the metal mount near the hinge, reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS, LOT 256, and 01132502626. No hallmarks are visible on the metal mounts in the provided images.
