Description
An Isle of Man 2017 silver proof commemorative fifty-pence coin issued to celebrate the Platinum Wedding Anniversary of HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. The heptagonal coin is housed in a clear protective plastic capsule; the obverse bears a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and circumscribed text reading ISLE OF MAN, 2017, and QUEEN ELIZABETH II. The coin is presented in a dark wood-finish hinged case with a black velvet-lined interior. Accompanying the set is a blue card certificate of authenticity printed with HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II & HRH THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH, 20th November 1947, Platinum WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, Silver Proof Fifty Pence Coin, and CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. A small white rectangular adhesive label inside the box base bears the handwritten number 12699. The set includes a black card outer sleeve with a white rectangular adhesive label reading SHELBYS AUCTIONEERS LOT 237 01132502626.
