A Collection of Vintage British Model Railway Station Accessories and Signalling Equipment
Description
A collection of model railway accessories constructed from painted wood, composite materials, die-cast metal, and tinplate. The lot features two station platforms with red-painted edges, which include integrated waiting rooms and period advertisements for Virol, York, and South for Sunshine. Signalling components include a die-cast twin-signal gantry with lattice-work supports and two single-arm semaphore signal posts, each fitted with manual operating levers. The collection also includes a small signal box or utility building with a green roof, one station sign marked Willesden Junction, and a short section of three-rail track mounted on a grey base. An assortment of loose grey platform sections is also included. The design and advertisements are characteristic of mid-20th-century British manufacture, specifically Hornby Dublo.
