A Large Collection of Blue Willow and Romantic Landscape Transfer-Printed Earthenware
Description
An extensive assortment of underglaze blue transfer-printed earthenware tableware. The collection primarily features the traditional Willow pattern, alongside a secondary romantic landscape pattern featuring central scenes of buildings and bridges surrounded by broad floral and foliate borders. The group comprises a wide variety of forms, including a large rectangular meat platter, a footed tazza, a deep wash bowl, and a three-tier cake stand with a central metal handle. Also included are multiple dinner plates, side plates, dessert bowls, teacups, and saucers, as well as a small jug. The pieces are consistent in style and manufacture with British earthenware of the late 19th to early 20th century. Markings are present on the undersides of several items but are not clearly legible from the provided images.
