Description
A mahogany washstand or bedside cabinet in the Georgian style. The piece features a tray-top with a raised gallery and rounded corners, positioned above an open compartment and a single frieze drawer. The drawer front is decorated with fine lightwood stringing and is fitted with a central turned wooden knob handle. The cabinet is raised on four slender square-section legs, which are reinforced by an X-shaped cross-stretcher. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the exterior, though a small white auction lot label is attached to one side.
