A Trio of Queen Anne Style Burr Walnut Nesting Tables
Description
A trio of nesting tables in the Queen Anne revival style, attributed to Theodore Alexander. The set comprises a circular primary table and two smaller graduated tables designed to stow beneath the main frame. The tops are decorated with figured, book-matched burr walnut veneers within cross-banded borders. Each table is raised on slender cabriole legs featuring shell-carved knees and terminating in pad feet. The construction and materials are indicative of 20th-century manufacture. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible.
