A Country Style Carved Wood Side Chair with Woven Rush Seat
Description
A country style side chair constructed from dark-stained wood. The backrest features a carved crest rail with scrollwork decoration above a pierced horizontal splat containing a central circular motif. The uprights are finished with ball finials. The chair is fitted with a square-woven rush seat and is supported by turned front legs and stretchers. A small white adhesive label is affixed to the back splat, marked with the characters 9622 or 962X.
