A collection of ceramic cottage-form pastille burners in the Staffordshire style
Description
A collection of ceramic miniature architectural models, designed as pastille burners. The group includes various styles such as thatched-roof cottages, gabled residences, and a snow-covered house, in the style of mid-to-late 20th-century English village collectibles. Each piece is constructed from glazed ceramic with applied textured slip-ware to represent foliage, flowers, and snow. Several examples feature openings in the chimneys or windows to allow for the release of scented smoke. One item bears a handwritten inventory sticker numbered 9627. No factory marks or maker’s signatures are present.
Height approximately 5cm to 10cm.
