Two Modernist Abstract Metal Sculptures
Description
This lot comprises two modern abstract metal sculptures of contrasting styles. The first is a stylised botanical form, representing a flower bud or seed pod, crafted from metal with a heavy green verdigris and reddish-brown patina, resting on an integral square metal plinth. The second is a Brutalist-style industrial assemblage of mixed media, incorporating a black-painted circular disc, a heavy threaded mechanical component, a textured mesh element, and various rods. A small white adhesive label is affixed to a metal plate on the larger sculpture, marked with the characters 9627. No signatures, foundry marks, or edition numbers are visible on either piece.
