Description

A collection of four ceramic items consistent with 19th-century Staffordshire pottery production. The lot includes a figural group depicting a man and woman in rural attire standing beneath a bocage tree with a central beehive on a four-legged stand, finished in polychrome glazes. A second figurine depicts a female figure supporting a large basket of flowers on her head, wearing a dark blue bodice with gilded highlights and a yellow skirt. The third item is a pastille burner modelled as a two-storey cottage or manor house with orange-painted windows and doors, featuring applied shredded clay decoration to represent moss or foliage. The final piece is a circular tiered decorative stand or lid featuring applied polychrome floral motifs around the central section and rim. All items are constructed from glazed earthenware or pearlware. No factory marks are visible; the circular piece bears a modern white rectangular inventory sticker with the handwritten numbers 9630 and a small symbol.
Height of largest item: approximately 15.5 cm.
