A Collection of Victorian Cranberry Glass
Description
A collection of Victorian cranberry glass, in the style of Stourbridge makers such as Stevens and Williams or Thomas Webb and Sons. The group is comprised of hand-blown glass with a gold-tinted cranberry hue and applied clear glass decorative elements. Included is a jug decorated in the Mary Gregory style with white enamel depicting a figure in a landscape, featuring a clear applied handle and crimped rim. The collection also contains a lidded preserve jar with optic ribbing and a clear floral-form finial, and a lidded dish with a matching underplate, both featuring clear glass crimped borders. Other items include an etched vessel with scrolling foliate motifs, a small decanter with a clear faceted stopper, a small optic-moulded jug with a clear handle, a flared bowl with clear glass feet, an open bowl with a wide crimped rim, and a miniature cup.
