Description
A collection of vintage costume jewellery and hair ornaments featuring a variety of styles and materials. The lot includes a significant selection of black-toned mourning style jewellery, such as starburst-pattern brooches, buckles, and hair pins set with faceted black glass or composite materials. Notable items include a large dark-toned celluloid hair comb with a gallery of five graduated spherical beads, several dual-pronged hair pins topped with clusters of faceted glass in black, red, and clear tones, and a polychrome enamelled hummingbird brooch with a wire tail. Other designs comprise a silver-tone leaf brooch, floral spray and cluster brooches set with multi-coloured paste stones, a Maltese cross pin, a crescent-shaped brooch, and a rectangular frame set with green and clear rhinestones.
