A Drexel Accolade Mid-Century Mahogany Veneered Highboy Chest of Drawers
Description
A mid-century tall chest of drawers, attributed to Drexel from the Accolade collection. The piece is finished in mahogany veneers with highly figured flame mahogany drawer fronts. The configuration features a central vertical row of three small drawers flanked by four larger drawers. The larger drawers are fitted with brass ring-pull handles, while the central drawers feature small circular brass knobs. The chest is designed with a rectangular top with a moulded edge and is raised on splayed bracket feet. The construction reflects a 20th-century interpretation of Regency and campaign styles. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible.
