Description
A collection of circular plates of various sizes, primarily constructed from porcelain or fine bone china. The lot includes a commemorative plate featuring a blue border with the printed inscription ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER. Other items in the collection feature transfer-printed decoration, including a plate with a floral arrangement on a pastel ground with a scalloped, gilded edge, and a large plate depicting a misty, impressionistic mountainous landscape. Additional plates show various pastoral and scenic views. Most pieces are finished with fine gilded rims. No factory marks are visible in the current arrangement, though one plate bears a small adhesive tag with the digits 8522.
