Late Victorian Oak Box on Bun Feet
Description
A late Victorian or Edwardian oak box of rectangular form, the hinged lid opening to reveal a plain, unlined interior. The piece is constructed from solid oak with prominent grain patterns and features a small central wooden knob to the lid and a panelled body raised on four bun feet. A small white rectangular adhesive label with the handwritten digits 9, 6, 2, 5 is present on the lid. No other maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces.
