An Aynsley Bone China Tea Service with Gilded Turquoise and White Panels
Description
An Aynsley fine English bone china tea service. The set is decorated with a pattern featuring alternating panels of pale turquoise and white, separated and bordered by elaborate gilded scrollwork and foliate bands. The items feature gilded rims, handles, and foot rings. The service comprises six pedestal-footed teacups with scroll handles, six saucers, six side plates, and one cream jug. The base of each piece bears a green underglaze factory mark consisting of a crown emblem above a banner with the name AYNSLEY, accompanied by the text EST. 1775, ENGLAND, and FINE ENGLISH BONE CHINA. A handwritten pattern number 2892 over the letter F is present in gold.
