A Highlands mechanical pendulum wall clock in the regulator style
Description
A wall-mounted clock by Highlands, featuring a mechanical twin-train movement. The stained hardwood case, finished in a mahogany tone, is designed in the traditional regulator style with a triangular pediment and decorative turned columns to the sides. The circular off-white dial displays black Roman numeral hour markers, ornate black metal hands, and the maker’s name Highlands. Two winding apertures are located at the 4 and 8 o’clock positions, indicating a strike movement. The glazed door includes a lower panel decorated with a black and gold-toned border, through which a brass-toned pendulum is visible. An auction lot sticker from Shelby’s Auctioneers is affixed to the glass.
