A topographical watercolour on paper by Hubert Williams depicting a view of Whitby harbour, North Yorkshire. The composition features a large wooden capstan situated on the quay in the foreground, with the town’s characteristic red-roofed buildings rising up the cliffside in the background. The work is executed in a loose, impressionistic style. The piece is signed Hubert Williams and inscribed Whitby 1928 along the right-hand edge. It is housed in a glazed gilt wood frame featuring a beaded inner border.
