Description
An assortment of topographical and souvenir postcards dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection includes a variety of United Kingdom and international subjects. Identifiable locations include Lerwick, Shetland; Glastonbury from Wearyall Hill, Somerset; Windermere from Wansfell, Lake District; and Hamburg, Germany, the latter featuring the printed text Gruss aus Hamburg. The cards consist of a mixture of tinted and monochrome photographic prints alongside printed illustrations. Various publishers are represented throughout the lot. The top card bears two contemporary auction labels with the numbers 6182 and 200.
