Beswick, A Pair of Staffordshire Style King Charles Spaniel Dogs, Model 1378-6
Description
A pair of mirror-image seated King Charles Spaniel Beswick dogs, modeled in the traditional Staffordshire style. These ceramic figurines feature a creamy white glaze with hand-painted facial details in black and yellow. The bodies are adorned with gilded crescent markings and the dogs wear gilded collars with circular lockets. The underside of the base bears the impressed BESWICK ENGLAND factory mark and the model number 1378-6. A small hand-painted decorator mark is present near the vent hole. Height: 5.5 inches.
Condition report:
The pair is in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is minor, age-appropriate wear to the gilded accents. Fine surface crazing may be present, which is typical for Beswick ceramics of this period. One figurine retains a small paper identification sticker.
