Unidentified Maker, Collection of Five Folk-Art Souvenir Dolls, Felt and Cloth, 7-9 inches
Description
A collection of approximately five vintage folk-art souvenir dolls, crafted in a style reminiscent of mid-century European makers such as Lenci. Each doll is constructed from felt and cloth with fixed, painted or embroidered facial features and hair fashioned from yarn or wool. The dolls are dressed in their original, highly detailed traditional folk costumes, featuring layered skirts, embroidered waistcoats, and regional headwear. One doll retains an illegible circular sticker on the sole of its foot. The collection is housed within a custom-made glass and wood display case. Height 7 to 9 inches.
Condition report:
The dolls are in good vintage condition and appear well-preserved within the display case. No visible repairs are noted to the cloth bodies or limbs. The original clothing remains intact with minimal signs of ageing. The yarn hair is well-maintained. The glass and wood display case shows minor surface wear and dust consistent with age.
