Collection of Antique and Vintage Doll Footwear, Leather and Glass, Including Roller Skates
Description
This lot comprises a curated assembly of eight miniature items, primarily consisting of antique and vintage doll-sized footwear. The collection features a single heavily distressed brown leather lace-up bootie; a pair of black leather shoes with decorative lattice-style cutouts across the vamps; a pair of metallic silver-toned lace-up oxfords; and a pair of vintage brown leather roller skates featuring metal undercarriages and vibrant red and orange strap accents. Accompanying the footwear is a clear pressed-glass vessel fashioned in the shape of a traditional clog. These items are characteristic of late 19th to mid-20th-century doll accessories. No designer labels or manufacturer markings are present; authenticity is not verified. Lengths range approximately from 10 cm to 15 cm (4 to 6 inches).
Condition report:
The items are in mixed condition, exhibiting wear patterns consistent with age and use. The brown leather bootie shows significant distressing and material degradation. The silver oxfords display pronounced surface scuffing and loss of the metallic finish. The roller skates show oxidation to the metal components and wear to the leather straps. General material ageing, including stiffness and surface cracking, is present across the leather pieces. The glass clog remains intact with minor surface abrasions. Sold as-is.
