Various Manufacturers, Mixed Lot of Vintage Toys including Tin Lithograph, Plastic Military Tank, and Celluloid Dolls, Mid-20th Century
Description
This collection features a diverse assortment of mid-century playthings from various manufacturers. The lot includes tin lithograph items such as a cylindrical red savings bank with colourful character illustrations and a small blue pitcher with a rooster motif. A prominent item is the large, moulded olive-drab plastic military tank featuring U.S. Army star decals and an external wire suggesting a battery-operated or remote-control function. The assembly also contains several celluloid and plastic dolls with painted features, a large red felt pixie-style doll, a small yellow mohair teddy bear, hand-carved wooden figures, and a small cardboard box containing miniature ceramic or composite figurines. No original boxes are present for the primary items. Circa 1940s-1960s.
Condition report:
All items exhibit age-appropriate wear consistent with vintage toys. The tin lithograph pieces show minor surface oxidation, small scuffs, and some paint loss. The plastic military tank shows surface dust, minor decal wear, and a bent wire; the internal mechanism is untested and the functional status is unknown. Fabric and plush items show some fading and dust accumulation; the ballerina doll\'s tutu is somewhat crushed, and the face paint on the red pixie doll shows moderate wear. The small cardboard box containing miniatures is present but shows significant wear. The lot is offered in as-is condition, sold as seen.
