Unmarked, Contemporary Collectible Dolls, Bisque Porcelain and Cloth, 16-20 Inches
Description
This lot comprises a collection of contemporary collectible dolls, likely dating from the late 20th century. Each doll features a matte bisque porcelain head, lower arms, and lower legs, joined to a stuffed cloth body. No maker marks are visible on the napes of the necks or bodies. The dolls are fitted with fixed inset glass or acrylic eyes. The hair consists of various synthetic wigs in blonde and brunette shades, ranging from straight to tight curls; notably, one doll has a moulded bald head and another is currently missing its wig. The clothing includes one doll in a complete light-blue satin-style outfit with a matching lace-trimmed bonnet, while two others wear simple off-white textile undergarments, likely original factory chemises. One doll remains in its original protective plastic packaging. Height approximately 16 to 20 inches.
Condition report:
The porcelain heads and limbs are in generally good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The cloth bodies exhibit light surface dust and minor soiling consistent with age and storage. Wigs are mostly present and stable, with the exception of one missing wig and one moulded head. Clothing is in fair to good condition.
