Heubach-Koppelsdorf Bisque Doll and Mixed Lot of Collectible Dolls, Bisque, Composition and Vinyl, 4-18 inches
Description
This lot features a primary Heubach-Koppelsdorf bisque socket head doll on a five-piece jointed composition body. The head is incised with the marks Heubach-Koppelsdorf / 320-4/0 / Germany. It features moulded and painted hair and functional dark glass sleep eyes. The doll is dressed in a non-original lavender cotton dress with lace trim and black felt shoes. Also included are three large modern collector dolls with bisque heads and hands on stuffed cloth bodies, featuring synthetic wigs and fixed acrylic eyes, wearing original outfits including a sailor suit and a chequered dress with an apple motif. The lot is completed by one vintage composition doll and approximately nine small vinyl or plastic baby dolls, including Palm Pals style figures with painted eyes and various knit outfits. Height 4 to 18 inches.
Condition report:
The Heubach-Koppelsdorf bisque head appears free of cracks, chips, or repairs, though the composition body shows surface grime and minor scuffing consistent with age. The vintage composition doll exhibits significant damage, including heavy crazing and loss of the surface finish on the face. One small vinyl doll is detached at the neck. The modern collector dolls are in generally good condition with minor surface dust from storage. Clothing ranges from original to non-original with varying degrees of wear.
