Unmarked and Boyds Collection, Assorted Collector and Character Dolls, Bisque and Composition, 12-18 Inches
Description
A lot of seven assorted collector and character dolls. The collection includes six dolls featuring bisque porcelain heads and partial limbs on stuffed cloth bodies, and one larger character doll with a painted head of composition or hard plastic and a full cloth body. While most are unmarked, the doll with the straw hat and spectacles is consistent with the Yesterdays’ Child series by the Boyds Collection. The porcelain dolls feature fixed inset glass or acrylic eyes and synthetic wigs in various colours including blonde, brunette, red, and grey. The character doll features a moulded head with painted blue eyes. All dolls are dressed in their original period-style clothing, including Victorian-inspired lace dresses, a polka-dot coat, and green overalls. Height 12 to 18 inches.
Condition report:
The dolls are in good as-found condition. The porcelain heads and limbs show no visible cracks, breaks, or professional repairs. The character doll shows very minor scuffing to the painted finish on the face. The stuffed cloth bodies are intact. Wigs are generally tidy, though the brunette wig on the doll in the floral dress is slightly dishevelled. Clothing shows minor surface dust and shelf wear consistent with age and display.
