Fenton, Mary Gregory Style Cranberry Glass Vases
Description
A mismatched pair of hand-blown cranberry-coloured glass vases by Fenton, featuring hand-painted white enamel decoration in the Mary Gregory style. One vase, featuring two applied clear glass loop handles and a ruffled rim, depicts a young boy in 18th-century period attire amongst stylised tall grasses and reeds. The second vase features a more pronounced flared, ruffled rim and depicts a young girl in similar period dress set within a landscape of white enamel foliage. There are no visible factory marks, model numbers, or artist signatures present. Height approximately 11cm to 13cm.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. There are no visible chips to the rims, handles, or bases, and no evidence of professional repair or restoration. Both items appear complete as manufactured. There is minor surface wear consistent with age and use, but the enamel decoration remains well-preserved with no significant loss or thinning.
