German and Foreign, Three Vintage Ceramic Dog Figurines including Novelty Lamp
Description
A collection of three vintage glazed ceramic dog figurines of various breeds. The lot comprises a pair of seated white and brown terriers, marked to the base with a blue underglaze Foreign stamp and incised model number 9980. The second piece is a larger individual seated spaniel-type dog with brown patches and long ears, which is unmarked. The third item is a German novelty bulldog-style dog lamp, featuring inset red glass eyes designed to illuminate from within, stamped Germany in red to the base and including an internal electrical fitting with a vintage-style brown cord. Heights approximately 11 cm to 15 cm.
Condition report:
The figurines show signs of age-related wear, including fine surface crazing throughout the glazes. There are no significant chips, cracks, or visible repairs. The electrical components in the German figurine are vintage and untested; it is recommended that the wiring be inspected and updated by a qualified professional before use. All items are sold as is.
