Royal Doulton, Southern Belle and Top o' the Hill
Description
A pair of Royal Doulton glazed fine bone china figurines. The first is Southern Belle, model HN 2229, depicting a woman in a pink and coral layered gown with a yellow floral bodice; marks include the factory lion and crown backstamp, modeller name Peggy Davies, and a 1957 copyright. A small blue shoe tip is visible beneath the hem as part of the original design. The second is Top o’ the Hill, model HN 1849, depicting a woman in a wind-swept pink dress and blue hat; marks include the factory backstamp, registered number Rd No 822821, and decorator initials EW. Heights approximately 20 cm and 18 cm.
Condition report:
Both figures are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
