Mission Style Solid Oak Folding Side Table
Description
A mid-20th century Mission style folding side table or low stand, constructed from solid oak with a medium-toned finish. The piece features a circular top supported by a folding tripod base with straight-tapered legs and a triangular spreader. The assembly employs a simple pin-and-pivot construction designed for portability, reminiscent of the Quaint furniture line by Stickley Brothers. The wood displays a prominent grain characteristic of solid oak throughout. No maker’s marks or labels are present, though a small auction tag is attached to one leg. 51cm H x 56cm W x 56cm D.
Condition report:
The table is in fair condition and remains structurally sound. The circular top exhibits significant wear, including notable finish loss and surface abrasions. The base and legs show scattered scuffs and minor indentations consistent with age and utilitarian use. No evidence of woodworm or previous restoration is visible.
