German Bisque, Collection of Six Figurines including Piano Babies and Cherub Spill Vase
Description
A mixed lot of six porcelain and bisque figurines, likely of German origin, including two hand-painted “Piano Babies” in crawling and seated poses. The collection features a large white bisque centrepiece depicting a cherub seated beside a textured basket-form vessel, a small reclining nymph or bather with delicately painted features, and two figurines of young girls in traditional and Victorian-style attire with colourful glazes. While the style is characteristic of Thuringian factories such as Gebruder Heubach, no factory marks or model numbers are visible on the exterior surfaces. Standing girl height approximately 15 cm; cherub group length approximately 20 cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in mixed condition. The large white bisque cherub group has a significant jagged break and missing section to the upper rim of the basket. The remaining figurines appear generally intact with minor surface grime, light scratches, and wear consistent with age. Professional cleaning is recommended. All items sold as-is.
