Beswick and Royal Albert, Beatrix Potter Character Figurines
Description
A collection of six hand-painted ceramic figurines depicting characters from the Beatrix Potter series, produced by the renowned English potteries Beswick and Royal Albert. The Beswick pieces include Ribby (dated 1951), Foxy Whiskered Gentleman (dated 1954), and a double figure of Mr. Benjamin Bunny & Peter Rabbit (dated 1975). The Royal Albert bone china pieces, all dated 1989, comprise Mrs. Rabbit & Bunnies, Tom Thumb, and Peter Rabbit in his iconic blue jacket. The figurines feature high-quality glazed finishes with polychrome decoration. Several pieces exhibit hand-painted decorator or quality-control marks on the underside, including numbers 62 and 99. Individual heights range from approximately 3.5 inches to 5 inches.
Condition report:
The figurines appear to be in good overall condition with no significant chips, cracks, or professional repairs visible. A paper inventory sticker is present on the Mrs. Rabbit figurine. As with vintage ceramics, there may be fine crazing or minor production firing flaws.
