A Collection of Royal Worcester Miniature Blush Ivory Floral Tygs and Saucer Category: Ceramics
Description
A charming collection of six Royal Worcester miniature porcelain pieces, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. The group comprises four three-handled tygs (loving cups) of varying sizes and a coordinating saucer, all featuring the factory’s signature blush ivory ground. These are delicately hand-painted with sprays of pink roses, yellow blossoms, and blue wildflowers, finished with gilded rims and handles. Also included is a smaller white-ground miniature cup with a single floral motif. Each piece is marked to the base with the Royal Worcester printed factory mark in puce or green, including “Made in England” and date codes consistent with the late Victorian and Edwardian periods. Tygs range approximately 3 cm to 5 cm in height; saucer diameter approximately 9 cm.
Condition report:
Overall in good antique condition. No visible chips, cracks, or restorations. There is minor rubbing and wear to the gilding on the rims and handles, consistent with age and handling. The hand-painted floral decoration remains vibrant.
