Vintage Edwardian Style Mahogany Triptych Dressing Table
Description
A vintage mahogany-finished dressing table or vanity designed in the Edwardian style. The unit features a centre kneehole and is equipped with five drawers: two stacked on each pedestal and one wide, shallow centre drawer. The piece is topped with a three-part triptych mirror system, comprising a large, shaped centre mirror and two smaller oval side mirrors. These side mirrors are mounted on curved wooden supports with integrated cylindrical storage caddies on the tabletop. The unit stands on four slender, tapered legs with brass-toned ferrules. Constructed from wood with a dark-stained, polished veneer and brass-toned metal hardware. No factory marks or model numbers are visible. Height: 145 cm.
Condition report:
The piece is in good vintage condition with a well-preserved polished finish. Minor surface scuffs and light scratches are visible on the tabletop and drawer fronts, consistent with age and use. The mirrors are intact but show minor signs of age-related foxing and silvering degradation, particularly on the side panels. The brass-toned handles and leg ferrules appear to be original and complete.
