Description

This eclectic collection of toys features several notable lithographed tinplate pieces. The centrepiece is a large red and cream convertible, designed in the style of the 1950s Garton Kidillac, alongside a light blue sedan and a smaller green and cream Morris Mini-Minor bearing Heartbeat livery. The lot includes a vintage light blue clockwork robot, complete with its original pictorial box marked Made in China. Also present is a large metal push-down spinning top decorated with pictorial scenes, a selection of horse figurines in various materials including plastic and composition, a small crocheted doll in a red and white dress, and a knit black-and-white striped object. These items reflect a range of toy designs, from mid-century American automotive styling to later television-themed collectibles and export tin toys. The large convertible bears a white numerical sticker 6182. Measurements are not available as no scale was provided.

Condition report:

The collection is in play-worn condition with visible signs of age. The tinplate items show surface scratches, scuffs, and areas of minor oxidation to the metal surfaces. The large red convertible appears to be missing its steering wheel and interior components. The robot is accompanied by its original box, which shows some shelf wear and creasing. Figurines exhibit minor paint loss and surface grime. Clockwork and spinning mechanisms have not been tested. Estimated Value
