Bing & Grøndahl, Collection of Three Porcelain Figurines
Description
A group lot of three vintage Danish porcelain figurines by Bing & Grøndahl (B&G), featuring the manufacturer’s signature underglaze blue and polychrome palette. The set includes: ‘Children Reading’ (Model 1567), depicting a boy and girl intently reading a book, marked with the B&G three towers stamp and hand-painted decorator mark ‘F’; a standing dog figurine, likely a Pug or French Bulldog (Model 1676), featuring characteristic facial folds, marked with the B&G stamp and decorator initial ‘R’ or ‘P’; and a small bird figurine perched on a green leaf base (Model 2194), bearing the B&G factory mark and blue painter’s mark. Height of largest approximately 4 inches.
Condition report:
Generally good condition across all pieces. The \'Children Reading\' figurine shows minor shelf wear to the unglazed foot rim. The dog and bird figurines are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs.
