Unattributed, Ceramic Cat Group and Miniature Collectibles
Description
A varied collection of decorative household items and miniatures. The primary piece is a whimsical glazed ceramic figural group depicting a large cat with two kittens nestled against it, finished in a cream glaze with hand-applied brown mottled spots and simple painted facial features. The lot also includes a vintage-style miniature wooden dressing table in cream paint, featuring a fixed upright mirror and a tiny porcelain tea service on the tabletop. Additional items comprise a floral-patterned trinket box with a brass-toned clasp, a small wooden hand-crank music box, two heart-shaped butterfly-patterned fabric coasters with red piping, a small pink pig figurine, a miniature duck, and a textured decorative sphere. No factory marks or signatures are present. Height (cat group) approx. 15cm.
Condition report:
The ceramic cat group is in good overall condition with fine crazing throughout the glaze, which is typical for this type of earthenware. The wooden dressing table shows minor scuffs to the painted finish and some foxing or silvering loss to the mirror surface. Other items show light surface wear and age-related marks consistent with previous use.
