Butterscotch Amber Bead Necklace, 231 Grams
Description
A substantial strand of opaque, butterscotch-orange rondelle-shaped beads which appear to be amber. The beads display a matt to semi-gloss finish with natural-appearing surface variations, consistent with the colouration of “egg yolk” amber. The strand is currently strung on a thick, knotted yellow cord without a clasp, reminiscent of the style of African trade beads. No metal components, hallmarks, or maker’s marks are visible. The piece is accompanied by a handwritten tag bearing the reference number 6182. Gross weight: 231 grams.
Condition report:
The beads appear to be in good condition with minor surface wear consistent with age. The yellow stringing cord is frayed at the top and requires replacement. No clasp is present.
