Yellow-tone Metal and Polychrome Glass Bead Necklace, Art Deco Style
Description
This costume jewellery necklace features a variety of amber-toned and polychrome beads which appear to be glass. The assembly includes large rectangular translucent amber-coloured beads decorated with external yellow-tone metal wire scrollwork, spindle-shaped orange beads with multicoloured speckled details, and small round brownish beads containing gold-coloured flecks and small blue-and-white accents. The piece is constructed with simple wire-loop joins. No hallmarks, maker’s marks, or metal purity stamps are visible; the metal appears to be a yellow-tone base metal. The style is characteristic of early 20th-century European glass jewellery, possibly of Czech or Murano origin. Weight and measurements are not available.
