Description
This collection features a large limited edition artist doll named Laura, designed by J.C. Leon for Leonah UK, England, numbered 58 of 500. The doll is crafted with a hand-painted bisque porcelain head, breastplate, and limbs on a weighted cloth body. Features include fixed inset glass-like eyes with applied lashes and an auburn synthetic wig styled in long braids. She wears her original elaborate multi-layered yellow dress with a large centre bow and floral trim, accompanied by a matching decorated straw hat and lace-trimmed underskirt. The lot includes two smaller companion dolls with bisque porcelain heads and limbs and fixed eyes. One wears a blue floral pinafore and the other a grey and blue layered outfit while holding a small plush teddy bear. The group is completed by a red-stained wooden display stool and the original cardboard shipping box with a Certificate of Authenticity. Height 22in.
Condition report:
All three dolls are in excellent condition. The bisque porcelain components are free from chips, cracks, or visible repairs. The cloth bodies are clean and the wigs retain their original styling. All clothing is original, clean, and well-preserved. The wooden stool and original storage box show only minimal signs of age.
