Description
A varied assortment of decorative porcelain and earthenware items. The collection includes a Goebel Art Omi tapered porcelain vase featuring a reproduction of Michelangelo’s The Libyan Sibyl from the Sistine Chapel, marked Goebel Germany to the base. Also included is an English porcelain trumpet-shaped vase with polychrome floral sprays and gilt highlights; a hand-painted ceramic basket with encrusted pansies by H.J. Wood Ltd, England; a multi-piece porcelain condiment set on a fitted tray decorated with floral sprigs; and an ornamental trellis-style base with applied flowers by Plant (Pearl Pottery), England. The pieces showcase various techniques including transfer printing, hand-painting, and relief-moulded applied floral work. Trumpet vase height approx. 20 cm, Goebel vase height approx. 15 cm.
Condition report:
Overall good condition. Minor surface wear consistent with age. The encrusted floral elements on the H.J. Wood basket and the Plant trellis base show some typical minor losses and small chips to the delicate petals. Light rubbing to the gilt highlights on the trumpet vase. Condiment set appears complete.
