Royal Doulton, Belle O' The Ball HN 1997
Description
A fine Royal Doulton glazed porcelain (bone china) figurine titled Belle O’ The Ball, model number HN 1997. This vintage piece depicts an elegantly posed lady in an 18th-century style red gown with white ruffled underskirts, seated upon a classical settee beside a floral-patterned cushion. She holds a black masquerade mask and wears a delicate floral-decorated hat. The base features the standard Royal Doulton green lion and crown backstamp, the title, model number, and a 1946 copyright date. Additional markings include handwritten decorator’s initials in green, possibly SN, and a small red potter’s mark. Height: 15 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in good vintage condition with no apparent chips, cracks, or restorations to the delicate ruffles or extremities. A temporary lot sticker is present on the seat of the settee which can be easily removed.
