Various Manufacturers, A Large Collection of Miscellaneous Ceramic and Bisque Figurines
Description
A large and varied collection of miscellaneous ceramic and porcelain figurines and miniatures. The lot includes a prominent reclining female figure in a white lace-effect dress in the Dresden style, a seated Pierrot, and various bisque porcelain children and piano baby style figures, possibly including examples by Schafer and Vater. Animal subjects feature a brown glazed owl, a crested duck, several small pigs, a Jack Russell terrier, and a pink novelty elephant. Also present are a miniature brown glazed teapot, small decorative planters, and various other small animal and human miniatures. While some pieces reflect early 20th-century German production, no specific factory marks are visible. Height of largest approx. 12cm.
Condition report:
The collection is in mixed condition. Visible damage includes several small chips and areas of paint wear across multiple items. The delicate lace-effect dress on the reclining figure shows some small losses. A small white figure in the lower-centre foreground is broken or missing its base. Some pieces show surface grime and would benefit from cleaning.
