Continental Porcelain, 18th-Century Style Crinoline Lady
Description
An unmarked Continental polychrome glazed porcelain figurine depicting a lady in 18th-century courtly attire. The subject is depicted in an elaborate Rococo-style dress with wide panniers, featuring hand-painted floral sprays on a white ground, accented by vertical blue and yellow striped bands and a pink bodice. The figure is styled with a high powdered wig and a pearl necklace, holding a folded fan in her right hand. No factory marks or model numbers are identified on the base. Height: 18 cm.
Condition report:
Generally good condition with bright colours and a clean glaze. There are minor, typical chips to the delicate ruffled porcelain edges of the sleeves and shawl. No major repairs or structural cracks are visible.
