Description
A comprehensive collection of antique and vintage decorative objects and fragments, primarily dating from the Victorian era through to the early 20th century. The assortment includes a pair of brass and bone-mounted opera glasses featuring beaded accents, alongside several small containers such as a box with floral mother-of-pearl inlay and a smaller box with geometric wood parquetry. The lot comprises numerous hand-carved elements including fan sticks, sewing implements, and pierced plaques, showcasing techniques such as relief and openwork carving, engraving, and marquetry. Materials present include carved bone, mother-of-pearl, brass, and tortoiseshell, with several pieces exhibiting East Asian stylistic influences. Tray dimensions approximately 38cm x 30cm.

Offered as a spares or repairs lot. The items exhibit a range of conditions from fair to fragmentary. Visible wear, chips, cracks, and losses are present throughout the collection. The opera glasses show tarnishing to the brass and some loss to the beaded decoration. Boxes show surface wear and some lifting to inlays. Many carved elements are incomplete or detached from their original structures.
